My name is Kelsey Jean Conrad and I am a survivor of a horrific sexual assault. In an unimaginable act of violence, I was sexually assaulted by a group of men. The trauma did not stop there, I was re-victimized by those who should have protected me, who should have sought justice on my behalf. My experience, sadly, is not unique. 

According to RAINN, every 73 seconds an American is sexually assaulted. Moreover, only 5 out of every 1,000 perpetrators will be incarcerated (RAINN). I demand change. I am standing up not just for myself, but for every survivor who has felt the sting of injustice. It's time for the law to protect survivors, not rapists. It's time for us to stand up and demand that rapists be held accountable for their actions.
