Demand Justice for Sexual Assault Survivor: Reopen the Case Against William Eger
Introduction:
In October 2023, my life was forever changed when I woke up to find my long-time friend, William Eger, sexually assaulting me while I was asleep. This traumatic experience has left me with severe PTSD, causing nightly nightmares and daytime flashbacks. Despite my efforts to seek justice, the District Attorney's office decided not to press charges, leaving me without recourse.
William and I met 33 years ago and became instant best friends. Over the years, we had our share of arguments and even lost touch for periods of time, but we always reunited as if we had never skipped a beat. This deep bond is what makes his betrayal so devastating. I trusted him implicitly, and he violated that trust in the most horrific way imaginable.
I reported the assault to the Fontana Police Department, but faced numerous challenges in filing my report. After finally having my case reviewed, the decision was made not to pursue charges against William. I believe this decision is a grave injustice, and I am asking for your support to help me seek the justice I deserve.
Why This Matters:
Survivors of sexual assault deserve justice and closure. The decision not to pursue charges against Mr. Eger, despite the clear violations and trauma inflicted, has left me feeling vulnerable and without recourse. It is crucial that the legal system protects survivors and holds offenders accountable, especially when there is a risk of repeat offenses.
Our Request:
We, the undersigned, request that the District Attorney's Office in Rancho Cucamonga re-evaluate the evidence and circumstances of this case and pursue charges against William Eger. We believe that a thorough and fair investigation is essential to ensure justice for survivors of sexual assault.
Signatures:
Conclusion:
By signing this petition, you stand with survivors of sexual assault and advocating for justice. Please join me in urging the District Attorney's Office to take this matter seriously and ensure that justice is served.
Thank you for your support.
With gratitude,
Jeanette
