Demand Justice for Sammie: Investigate Pups & Kits Pet Hospital for Criminal Negligence
The Issue
My 7-year-old German Shepherd, Sammie, was admitted to Pups & Kits Pet Hospital, Survey Park, Kolkata, for an emergency C-section on July 5, 2026. She was healthy, fit, and tick-free before admission.
She died a horrific, painful death on July 13, 2026, just 8 days later. Here is the brutal truth of what happened to her:
• Cause of Death: Tick Fever (Babesia) leading to MULTI-ORGAN FAILURE. Her blood report showed severe kidney damage (Creatinine 4.9, normal is 1.6), liver damage (ALT 351), and severe anemia (PCV 27%).
• Infested Environment: Her body was found covered in live ticks and tick eggs at the time of death—which were absolutely ZERO when she was admitted.
• Doctor's Confession: The treating doctor verbally admitted that he repeatedly warned the management about the unhygienic, tick-infested kennel wards, but the management ignored him.
• Fraudulent Cover-up: The hospital issued a Death Certificate 2 full days after her death, falsely stating the cause as "Cardiac Arrest" (which is just the stopping of the heart, not the cause). They deliberately concealed the true cause—multi-organ failure from hospital-acquired tick fever.
• Financial Exploitation: They charged us ₹35,000 for this negligent, fatal care.
On her last day, Sammie was so sick she couldn't even recognize me. I lost my baby girl because of a hospital's greed and negligence.
I demand:
An immediate police investigation and FIR against Pups & Kits Pet Hospital under IPC 428/429 and Section 11 of the PCA Act.
Suspension of their license until a hygiene audit is conducted.
A formal warning to the West Bengal Veterinary Council to ensure no other pet dies in this facility.
Please sign this petition. Share it with every pet owner you know. Sammie had no voice—but we can be her voice. Sign today to stop this from happening to another innocent dog.
