The Issue

I am a resident of the Kansas City community, and I am deeply outraged by the tragic death of 74-year-old Roger Stroble, who lost his life on May 20, 2026. Roger was not a stranger to Sidney Patrick Jay Kile — he was Kile's employee and was riding as his passenger in the McLaren when Kile drove at extreme speed and struck two stopped vehicles on Merriam Lane, killing him. Roger Stroble lost his life in the vehicle of the man he worked for.

It has been more than a week since this devastating incident, yet no charges have been filed against the driver who took an innocent life.

Roger Stroble deserved to return home to his family that fateful day, but he was robbed of that chance by the reckless actions of his own employer. Echoing the concerns of my fellow community members, I believe it is unacceptable that Kile remains free, apparently shielded by his status as a local business owner of SK Security/Auto.

Multiple eyewitness accounts corroborate that this tragic event was not an isolated incident. Kile's reckless driving — including being seen leaving a liquor store with unsecured passengers in this same vehicle just days before the crash — was a habitual pattern observed by many. Yet despite this clear and present danger, District Attorney Mark Dupree has failed to hold him accountable, raising serious questions about due process and fairness in our justice system.

It is deeply concerning that Kile's socioeconomic status appears to be influencing decisions that should solely be based on justice and accountability. His insurance was listed as "Unknown" on the official KHP crash report. The DA's office has made no public statement. Their public email addresses block all messages from the community. And still — no charges.

The life of a valued community member was unjustly taken by his own employer. His family is left grieving, longing for justice that seems elusive. It is imperative that District Attorney Dupree file vehicular homicide charges immediately to ensure Sidney Patrick Jay Kile is held accountable and Roger

Stroble's family receives the justice they rightfully deserve.

We must rally together and let our voices be heard. Sign this petition and share it everywhere. Together we can make a difference.
