The Issue

Phakama Fanaphi was a good citizen, a helpful lady full of smiles. Known for her beautiful beadwork, she was a self-employed and hardworking young woman who used her craft to make a living. But more than an entrepreneur, Phakama was an integral part of our community. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of those in Msintsi Village and its surrounding areas, always willing to lend a helping hand and contribute positively to the lives of others.

Her brutal rape and murder have left us shocked, saddened, and outraged. This is an unspeakable crime against a vibrant spirit that has caused immense grief to her family, friends, and the community as a whole. Such violence weakens the social fabric of our community and strikes fear into the lives of women. They must prioritize this case, ensuring thorough investigations , we urge the government to provide adequate resources for supporting victim's families and the broader community in healing and rebuilding trust. We are demand no bail to Lulamile Mgalesi as it will make the community fear and live in  danger once he is bailed out of prison, mostly it will reopen the wound or like rubbing salt into the wound to her family, loved ones and the community at large.

By signing this petition, you are standing with us to honor Phakama's memory, striving for a society where joy, like hers, thrives without fear. We appeal to people in power to take a stand and show that justice is both accessible and assured for all victims of violence.

Join us in demanding justice for Phakama Fanaphi. Together, let's bring her killer to justice and ensure a safer future for everyone in Msintsi Village. Please sign this petition and help make a change.
