Terrenda Hampton of Bessemer, AL is a career criminal with an unbelievable amount of arrests and convictions. His charges include drugging, rape, and sodomy of multiple victims. He has many violent crimes & drug charges & is a danger to the community he lives in & surrounding communities. This man received a 20-year split sentence in 2011 but committed his second known drugging, rape & sodomy in 2015. Judge David Carpenter dismissed that case without prejudice due to the victim not showing up…on 12/18/2019. On 12/20/2019, Paighton Houston went missing from a Birmingham establishment. She somehow ends up at Terrenda Hampton’s with another RSO, his cousin, Fred Hampton. According to his statement, Paighton was heavily intoxicated and he & Fred had sex with her. He claimed at one point she was deceased the next morning when they woke up. Terrenda was picked up on 01/02/2020 for Child Pornography charges & taken to the Trussville PD. Coincidentally, he had child pornography on his phone when he was picked up. During that questioning, he offers up information on Paighton’s case. He then takes police to a home on Chapel Drive and walks police DIRECTLY TO PAIGHTON’S Body. Somehow Terrenda, regardless of his admission of involvement, received NO CHARGES. The Alabama Department of Forensics determined, with testing, Paighton had blood present in all 3 of her cavities, which indicates a sexual assault. She died in the presence of multiple sex offenders but the only charge was abuse of a corpse against Fred Hampton. Since 2019, Terrenda has committed multiple additional crimes & SORNA violations. This man’s history speaks for itself, he should have never been walking the streets to hurt anyone. Paighton would likely be here today if he had been locked up.

Terrenda Hampton has a bond revocation hearing on the 29th for the charges he got in August 2022. He also signed a plea deal for ANOTHER 20 yr split sentence in Aug of 2022, for two SORNA violations from 2020 & UPOCS from 2018. 20 yr split, 36 mths to “serve” and 2 yrs supervised probation following his release from Jefferson County Community Corrrections. His 36 mths isn’t up until 2025, so he is technically still in the serving time stage of that plea deal…he didn’t even make it to the probation part. So not only did he violate the bond from the 2022 charges, he also violated the plea agreement. This should have, by default, put Terrenda in Prison. Judge David Carpenter will preside over the bond revocation. Judge Carpenter has presided over many of Terrenda’s cases and historically has not implemented a punishment that deters Terrenda Hampton from committing crimes
