Demand justice for Kai Edwards
The Issue
Our beautiful son, Kai Edwards, was tragically killed 23 months ago by a motorist while riding his bicycle with his brother a few metres from his house. It was a day meant for innocent joy, laughter, and sibling bonding. Instead, it turned into a nightmare – a nightmare that persists without resolution, without justice, and without accountability.
On that fateful day, Kai was only five years young. His life was cut short by the reckless actions of the very person who should have been protecting the safety and well-being of residents – the landlord. Our home, the very place he was born and supposed to be safe, became the scene of unimaginable pain and loss.
Here we stand, almost two years later, still yearning for justice. Our family is haunted by the lack of action and responsibility taken by those in power. The landlord's negligence and thoughtlessness took away a life precious not only to us but to our community.
We are not only fighting for Kai, but for every child whose laughter and innocence deserves to be preserved, for every family that believes their home should be safe, and for every community that holds onto justice as a vital cornerstone.
We call upon local authorities, community leaders, and law enforcement to thoroughly investigate this matter and bring those responsible to account. It is unacceptable for such a tragedy to go unresolved, and for families like ours to be left in the shadows of grief without support or acknowledgement.
We kindly ask for your support in making our voices heard. Help us ensure that no other family has to endure what we continue to suffer. Let the memories of Kai inspire a change and remind us that justice can and should be our shield and defender.
Please sign this petition and help us seek the justice that Kai deserves. Let us be the beacon of hope for accountability and serve as a reminder to all that every life, especially of the innocent, is valuable and irreplaceable. Together, let us work towards a world where justice prevails, not only in name but in practice.
