The Issue

This petition impacts a family, a father, and an entire community watching justice slip away.

My son, Jasheme Fearon, spent 3½ years in custody and was preparing to come home — to rebuild, reunite, and reclaim his life. But just as his release neared, he was suddenly hit with new charges we believe are unsupported by evidence, and clouded by bias, delay, and systemic injustice.

What’s at stake is his freedom, his future, and the faith that the system still works for Black men in America.
Jasheme sits in jail without access to full discovery, without legal representation in place, and without the dignity of a fair trial — while his family empties their savings just to give him a fighting chance.

Now is the time to act — before more time is stolen, before silence becomes a sentence, and before another life is buried under a broken system.
Sign this petition to say: we see him, we stand with him, and we believe in justice that protects, not punishes.

We are calling on the public, justice advocates, and community leaders to:
1. Demand fairness and transparency in the legal process of Jasheme Fearon’s case.
2. Ensure he receives a fair trial, complete discovery access, and the opportunity to retain legal counsel.
3. Raise awareness about systemic racial disparities and prosecutorial overreach in Suffolk County and beyond.
4. Call for increased mental health and reentry support for men of color navigating the justice system.

This isn’t just about Jasheme — it’s about the double standards, broken systems, and emotional toll this takes on Black families everywhere.
Our sons deserve second chances — not legal ambushes.
Our community deserves fairness, not silence.

We believe in redemption, mental health healing, faith-based support, and the power of the people to speak when courts fall silent.

Every signature is one more voice saying:
We believe Jasheme Fearon deserves a real chance — not another injustice.
