As residents whose taxes fund local authorities, we deeply believe in the importance of police justice and professionalism. Our personal experiences and perceptions of the police have been tainted by an unfortunate incident involving Surrey Officers and an innocent calf. The brutal attack exhibited the crude use of force, one that we neither condone nor wish to finance. The heartbreak, outrage, and disbelief experienced by our community cannot be understated.

The incident reflected not only a gross inhumanity but also a violation of codes of conduct and professional sincerity we expect from our officers. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, intentional animal abuse is not only a major issue but also indicative of potential future violent behaviours (ASPCA). This is not a quality we want in any police force.

This plea seeks the removal and charging of the perpetrators in the Surrey officers' ranks, responsible for an act so foul, on an innocent being. We profoundly believe that such individuals have no place in our law enforcement - a body established to protect and serve, not brutalize.
