Our beloved sister, Daniela Trejo Mendiola, tragically lost her life on August 20, 2024 due to the irresponsibility of a hit-and-run driver who cruelly left her at the scene. Despite the pain, as her family, we have tirelessly advocated for justice and shed light on this case. This is not just our fight but a fight for every family who has been let down by a system that did not care enough. We, therefore, call for justice for Daniela and demand significant change in Alamance County's handling of such cases.
