The Issue

Dakota Sebring’s story exposes the failures of our system to protect survivors of domestic violence. Despite overwhelming evidence of abuse, her abuser has been repeatedly released, leaving Dakota vulnerable and unsafe. This is not just Dakota’s story, it is the story of countless women whose safety is ignored while abusers are shielded.

We demand immediate justice for Dakota:

• That her abuser be held accountable and incarcerated without further delay.
• That the legal system take domestic violence seriously: victims must be heard, evidence acted upon, and perpetrators held fully accountable.

To prevent tragedies like Dakota’s in the future, we also call for:

• Mandatory training for law enforcement and judicial officials to properly recognize and respond to domestic abuse.

• Specialized domestic violence units within the justice system.

• Policies that prioritize victim safety and enforce offender accountability.

Let Dakota’s case be the catalyst for change. Sign this petition to demand justice for Dakota and reforms that protect all survivors of domestic violence, ensuring no one is left unprotected or unheard.
