Demand Justice for Bowie, the Neglected Puppy

Demand Justice for Bowie, the Neglected Puppy
The Issue
In Grainger County, a heartbreaking incident occurred that has left our community in shock and grief. A young puppy named Bowie, known for his distinctive two-colored eyes, was found dead after being tied outside without food or water. Along with him were an emaciated pot-bellied pig and another dog - all deceased.
Bowie had escaped from his owner's property around Christmas last year. We took him in and fed him for a week before he was cruelly taken back by his owner who tied him outside and left him to die. This is not just about one puppy; it's about the blatant disregard for animal welfare.
The person responsible is a 30-year-old woman who used to be a jailer in the county. Her mother works for the Grainger County District Attorney's office. Despite this clear conflict of interest, we demand justice.
It is deeply troubling that no legal action has been taken against her yet despite such clear evidence of animal cruelty - which is punishable by law under Tennessee Code Annotated 39-14-212 (2018). The lack of prosecution sends a dangerous message that animal abuse will be tolerated.
We urge the authorities to uphold justice and prosecute this woman accordingly to ensure no other innocent animals suffer like Bowie did again. This petition calls on Grainger County officials to take immediate action against this horrific act of cruelty.
Please sign this petition if you believe in justice for Bowie and all animals who have suffered at the hands of neglectful owners.
