When Matthew disappeared, I became homeless immediately. I was forced out of my home: another woman planned to bring Matthew’s father to the house, and I was terrified — this man had stalked me and abused me before. I refused to stay in a place where I would be unsafe with him, so I had nowhere to go.
I was already searching for Matthew day and night while I was homeless. I found out I was pregnant with Daniel while I was still looking for his brother. People took cruel advantage of how vulnerable and alone I was. I walked until I collapsed, was rushed to hospital many times, and almost lost my life and my unborn baby — but I never stopped searching.
Daniel was born in 2017. When he was only 2 years old, I travelled all the way to Cameroon 🇨🇲 to search for Matthew myself: I filed police reports, put up posters, and spoke to local people everywhere.
We changed all our names legally by deed poll, in honour of our Jewish grandmother — please check records for all names.
Now I am travelling to Liverpool with Daniel to keep looking. I need police and services to acknowledge all of this history, link all my reports, and help me properly — I will not stop until Matthew is safe home with us.
