My dear brothers and sisters let pray for Eliyahu to be returned back home may Hashem do a miracle.
I write to you as a heartbroken mother who, for the past eleven years, has endured the unimaginable pain of being separated from my child. My son was abducted by his father along with another woman, right here in the United Kingdom. Their unjust actions tore my world apart and altered the course of my life forever. Vulnerable and pressured, I was coerced into leaving our family home. Shortly after, my son vanished from my life. The immense shock and trauma from losing my beloved child nearly led me to a heart attack.
Unfortunately, my story is not unique. Greater support is essential for parents facing the anguish of long-term parental child abduction cases. These traumatic experiences often leave victims feeling isolated, helpless, and disillusioned with the system. It's time for meaningful change.
The establishment of a specialist national unit dedicated to long-term parental child abduction cases in the UK is paramount. Such a unit will enable concentrated resources, expertise, and coordination for cases like mine and countless others. Focusing on prevention and recovery, this unit would act as both a deterrent and a vital support mechanism for affected families.
The statistics are sobering. According to Child Abduction Studies in the UK, hundreds of children are taken by a parent every year. Many of these cases go unresolved, leaving families shattered and grieving. A specialized unit would not only fast-track investigations but could also provide psychological support, legal advice, and a coordinated effort with international authorities when necessary.
It is our collective duty to protect our nation's children and provide support to parents who face this harrowing reality. Let us urge the government to prioritize the creation of this specialist national unit. By doing so, we can prevent other families from enduring the heartbreak that I and countless others have faced. Stand with us and let your voice be a beacon of hope for change.
Please sign this petition to call for the establishment of a specialist national unit for long-term parental child abduction cases, ensuring that no parent or child feels isolated or abandoned ever again.
