MCJ's continuous negligence towards inmates is an affront to basic human rights and dignity. Disturbing reports have repeatedly highlighted issues of abuse, neglect, and inhumane conditions within MCJ. We are calling upon the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, the California Department of Justice, and all other relevant authorities to take immediate action in addressing these atrocities, ensuring that the rights and welfare of those incarcerated are protected.

This petition insists on the transparency, accountability, and reform of Men’s Central Jail. The ongoing neglect and inhumane treatment cannot continue— no one deserves to endure the humiliation and disregard my husband and countless others have faced within this facility.

If they are going to continue keeping this jail open and full of inmates and staff, they cannot think that we as citizens are going to continue to sit around and let them continue to treat human beings and their families like this.
