Dear Neighbor,
Evidently nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd! Word has gotten out about the call for Transparency in local government and an end to the shadowy cronyism that has fueled (and cemented) the apparent collusion between our current mayor and, Simply Ojai (Mindful Citizen), the "charity" hostile to the City and due process.
Tomorrow, March 1 2023, all signatures, comments and supporting evidence will be submitted to the appropriate agencies responsible for investigations into these allegations. Even if the positions taken by Simply Ojai and a couple of elected officials were brilliant and not headed towards bankrupting our town, vigilant citizens cannot allow unlawful secrecy to guide our fate. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.
1. Please attend the City Council Meeting tonight at 6PM and share your concerns with the Council! Allow time to add for a call to the action of your choice: demand an internal investigation into the conflicts of interest. Demand a voluntary resignation, recall or code of ethics and Brown Act training to guide them. End with: #IAmTransparentOjai
2. IF you can't attend in person, watch the meeting live on Youtube and going Zoom to participate.
3. Write to City Council and document your concerns.
4. File your own complaint with Grand Jury, District Attorney, Attorney General or the IRS. Find all links and forms here on Transparent Ojai. Every extra voice counts!
