I am an ordinary Instagram user who recently stumbled upon a horrifying sight. An account based in Asia/India was openly showcasing extreme animal abuse, torture, and killing. What's even more shocking is that this content is being monetised and affiliated with 'spinmatch.com', which allows betting on these gruesome acts of animal abuse.

Despite the illegal nature of this content, Instagram has refused to remove it. This refusal not only violates their own community guidelines but also promotes a culture of violence against animals. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), over 1 million animals are abused or killed in horrifying circumstances. SMACC also request that these acts are now illegal under international law. 

This situation is deeply disturbing and distressing. It's time we took action against such blatant disregard for life and respect for animals on platforms like Instagram, which are used by millions worldwide every day.

We must demand that Instagram take immediate action by removing these accounts promoting animal abuse from their platform permanently. Furthermore, they should strengthen their monitoring systems to prevent such accounts from reappearing in the future.
