We, the undersigned players and supporters of Love and Deepspace, are demanding immediate action regarding deeply inappropriate content released in Caleb’s anniversary AU card. What should have been a celebration has instead become a betrayal of player trust that requires urgent acknowledgment and correction.

What Happened:

On what was supposed to be a joyful milestone, the game’s second anniversary, Infold Games released a card containing explicit biological incest.

The dialogue states unambiguously: “You are my brother by blood, and my natural-born enemy.” This is followed by romantic and sexual advances, the card then depicting these biological siblings in a sexual relationship.

Let us be absolutely clear: This is not a localization issue. This is not a cultural misunderstanding. This is biological incest content that has never existed in any version of this game until now.

This Contradicts EVERY Version of the Game:

We acknowledge this is labeled as an “alternate universe” card. However, this does not make it acceptable, and it raises serious concerns about the company’s direction.

In EVERY existing version of Love and DeepSpace across ALL regions:

• English version: Caleb is the MC’s childhood friend (NOT related)
• Chinese version: Caleb is the MC’s adoptive sibling (NOT blood-related)
• Japanese version: Caleb is the MC’s adoptive sibling (NOT blood-related)
• Korean version: Caleb is the MC’s adoptive sibling (NOT blood-related)

The “brother by blood” language in this anniversary card contradicts the established canon in EVERY SINGLE MARKET.

This means:

• English players who invested in the childhood friend dynamic have been betrayed
• Chinese, Japanese, and Korean players who understood the adoptive sibling context have been betrayed
• The company has introduced biological incest content that exists in NO prior version of the character
• A year of consistent characterization across the entire global playerbase has been thrown away

Our Concerns:

• If biological incest is acceptable for AU content, what boundaries exist at all?
• Does this AU signal the company’s intention to push canon in this direction?
• Will future AUs continue escalating with increasingly extreme content?
• Is the AU label being used as a shield to test player reactions to taboo content?
• We are not just rejecting this one AU card. We are rejecting the precedent it sets and demanding clarity about future content direction.

The Devastating Impact:

Character Assassination and Loss of Player Investment

This decision has effectively destroyed Caleb as a character for a significant portion of the playerbase. Players invested a year of time, money, and emotional energy into a specific characterization and that characterization has now been fundamentally contradicted in a way that cannot be undone. Previous content feels tainted, future content feels suspect, and the character many players chose as their favorite has been rendered unrecognizable. For players who main Caleb, this represents hundreds or thousands of dollars and countless hours invested in a character portrayal that the company has now violated. This is the destruction of a year’s worth of player investment and emotional connection.

Across all platforms—Twitter, Discord, TikTok—players are unanimously rejecting this content. The response transcends regional and cultural boundaries: regardless of country of origin, many players express the same disgust and outrage. Thousands of posts, comments, and videos document players saying this is unacceptable, that they feel betrayed, and that biological incest has no place in this game. This is a massive, unified condemnation from the global playerbase.

Betrayal During Anniversary Celebration

Anniversary content should celebrate the relationship between a game and its community. Instead, this content has alienated, hurt, and disgusted a significant portion of the playerbase. Players who have supported this game for a year received content that many find deeply disturbing and inappropriate.

Our Demands:

We are demanding that Infold Games immediately:

Issue a Public Acknowledgment

• Recognize that this content has caused genuine harm to your community
• Acknowledge that this contradicts established characterization across all versions
• Take responsibility instead of hiding behind silence

Implement Protective Measures

• Ensure localization consistency across all future content—both canon AND AU (foster brother or childhood friend, never biological siblings)
• Create content guidelines that respect player boundaries
• Publicly commit that biological incest will not appear in future content

Prevent Future Violations

• Commit to respecting established characterizations in both canon and AU future cards
• Promise that AU content won’t be used to push increasingly extreme scenarios
• Show that player boundaries matter more than shock value

We Are Not Trying to Cancel This Game. We’re Trying to Save It: 

We are loyal players who want Love and DeepSpace to succeed. Many of us have:

• Played since day one
• Spent hundreds or thousands on this game
• Created fan content and communities
• Recommended the game to friends
• Defended it during other controversies
• Invested genuine love and care into this experience

We are speaking up because we care. If we didn’t care, we’d just silently uninstall and move on. Instead, we’re fighting for the game we fell in love with. But we cannot and will not accept content that violates our boundaries, contradicts established canon, and treats our emotional investment with contempt.

Infold Games has a choice right now: 

Option 1: Continue the silence. Watch players leave. Watch the community fracture. Watch your reputation crumble. Watch your anniversary become synonymous with scandal. Watch potential revenue disappear as trust evaporates.

Option 2: Acknowledge the mistake. Take responsibility. Make it right. Show that player concerns actually matter. Rebuild trust. Turn this crisis into an opportunity to demonstrate that you value your community. We are giving you the chance to choose Option 2. But our patience is not infinite.
