I am one of the many active users of IMVU's avatar chat program. We found solace and enjoyment in the app, holding it dear for its distinctive feature allowing us to watch YouTube videos together in chat rooms. This feature, notably absent from most platforms, fostered a sense of community and added a layer of authenticity to our interactions. Together, we discovered new artists, shared our favorite content, and drew closer via shared experiences.

Unfortunately, IMVU has removed this feature on their mobile version, estranging us from this delightful virtual experience. Despite numerous complaints, the company remains unmoved, seemingly deaf to users' dissatisfaction. Keeping the feature accessible solely for PC users is restrictive and unfair to mobile users who form an integral part of the IMVU community; I anecdotally note that many have threatened to cancel their VIP memberships and switch to competitor apps like Second Life out of frustration.

This decision doesn't only affect individual mobile users but engenders a deeper impact on the collective user experience. Retaining users' interest and encouraging interaction are keys to successful apps, and removing such a popular feature is counterproductive to these aims.

Therefore, we urge IMVU to reinstate the ability to watch YouTube videos within mobile chat rooms. Bring back the feature, restore the joy of shared video watching, and continue to make IMVU a home for all forms of interaction. Sign this petition to echo our demand and reinforce our call for equal access to all IMVU features across all platforms.
