I write this petition as a concerned resident and daily commuter on the perilous Talegaon–Shikrapur Road, where its condition has severely deteriorated. In our community, movement of heavy vehicles is causing persistent traffic congestion, leading to immense hardship for local residents and employees. Not only do we suffer in prolonged commutes, our concern for our safety is escalating fast due to consistently increasing number of accidents on this stretch. What used to be a bearable 30-minute commute from Chakan to Pimpri-Dehu-Talegaon has unfortunately turned into an exhausting 2 to 3 hours ordeal. We call upon relevant authorities to urgently implement road widening operations and improve the condition of the Talegaon–Shikrapur Road to ensure the safety and welfare of its daily users.
