Demand Immediate Resignation of San Diego Humane Society Leadership for Animal Neglect

The Issue

I am an animal lover who recently adopted a senior dog from the San Diego Humane Society (SDHS). This poor creature had clear signs of neglect; he was peeing blood despite medical records falsely claiming that this issue had been resolved. He also had years' worth of dead fur stuck to him, filling two trash bags when finally removed. When I voiced my concerns about their neglect and abuse, SDHS blocked me from their Facebook pages in an attempt to silence me and hide their wrongdoings.

The SDHS has been featured in several news media stories regarding their mistreatment of animals. Their actions are not only unethical but also illegal under California Penal Code Section 597, which makes it a crime to maliciously and intentionally harm an animal. Yet, the "leadership" at SDHS continues to turn a blind eye towards these horrific acts.

This is not just about one dog; it's about all the animals suffering under the care of this organization. We cannot stand by while these innocent creatures are subjected to such cruelty and negligence.

We demand immediate action against those responsible for these atrocities at SDHS - starting with the resignation or termination of its current leadership.  The current leadership is.
