We bring attention to a distressing concern involving the closure on Green Level Church Road between Roberts Rd and Canoe Creek Ln. This closure has been ongoing since September 27th, 2024, and, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), was scheduled to be repaired by October 28th, 2024. However, it remains unresolved, and the issue has even been removed from NCDOT's website since October 29th. This situation is creating excessive traffic in the neighborhood, resulting in congestion and a substantial increase in accidents in the area. It is worth noting that a High School stands right at the site of the closure. Not only does this disruption cause inconvenience, but it also raises serious safety concerns for our students and residents with traffic being routed into the surrounding neighbourhood. We urge the relevant authorities to prioritize this issue and commit to an immediate fix. Please sign the petition to demand swift action.
