Our personal journey, like many in Hawk Cove, has been greatly impacted by the treacherous state of our roads. My husband and I have had not one, but two vehicles destroyed. The front ends of our cars obliterated due to the terrible conditions of the road we traverse daily. And let us be clear, we don't meet our misfortune because of reckless driving. You simply can't drive fast on these damaged roads.

The roads in our city have turned undrivable. They do not just put our possessions in jeopardy, but also pose a real threat to the safety of every resident in Hawk Cove. Furthermore, the financial burden is immense. The American Automobile Association (AAA) estimates that poor road conditions cost drivers $3 billion a year in vehicle repairs (AAA Newsroom, 2016).

The state has a responsibility to ensure public infrastructure is maintained for community safety and efficiency. Thus, we turn to you, our fellow citizens, to demand that the responsible authorities take immediate action to repair Hawk Cove roads.
