SECOND STATEMENT. FOR THE CEASEFIRE, AGAINST THE GROUND INVASION IN GAZA, AND FOR THE FREEDOM OF ORIÓN HERNÁNDEZ RADOUX.

Mexico City, October 27, 2023.

In the face of the official escalation of a new phase of extermination war with the siege, the cutting of Internet, telephone services, water, and electricity in the Gaza Strip, and the strong repression in certain parts of the occupied territories of the West Bank, we maintain our position in favor of peace and for the liberation of Orión Hernández Radoux, a Mexican, and his partner Shani Nicole Louk (German-Israeli), who have been kidnapped by Islamic militants from Hamas since October 7. We demand that the Israeli government under Benjamin Netanyahu immediately cease the fire that has caused infamous collective punishments on a defenseless population. The indiscriminate artillery bombardments, including the use of white phosphorus, against homes, hospitals, and schools in Gaza by the Israeli army constitute barbaric war crimes that violate International Law and the Geneva Convention on the Protection of Civilians. As of October 26, more than 7,350 Palestinians have been killed in these unacceptable actions, the majority of whom are children and women. There are at least one million displaced people. Additionally, 24 journalists have been killed, and there are still 222 civilian captives of multiple nationalities, including the Mexican citizen Ileana Gritzewsky. We denounce the shameful bellicose stance of the governments of the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France, who continue to support the Israeli government and block peace in the United Nations Security Council. We strongly demand from the Israeli ambassador in Mexico, Einat Kranz Neiger, to request her government to cease the aerial hostilities and the ground invasion of the strip, in order to promptly establish humanitarian corridors and ensure the safe return of all captives. We continue to alert Mexican society and the media about the ongoing genocide against the 2.3 million Palestinian inhabitants of Gaza. We urgently demand a more assertive stance from the Mexican government under Andrés Manuel López Obrador to put an end to the war.

SEGUNDO PRONUNCIAMIENTO. POR LA EL CESE AL FUEGO, CONTRA LA INVASIÓN TERRESTRE EN GAZA Y POR LA LIBERTAD DE ORIÓN HERNÁNDEZ RADOUX.
Ciudad de México a 27 de Octubre de 2023.
Ante la escalada oficial de una nueva fase de guerra de exterminio con el sitio, el corte de Internet, servicios de telefonía, agua y electricidad en la franja de Gaza y la fuerte represión en ciertas partes de los territorios ocupados de Cisjordania, sostenemos nuestra posición a favor de la paz y por la liberación de Orión Hernández Radoux, mexicano y su pareja Shani Nicole Louk (alemana-israelí) secuestrados por los milicianos islámicos de Hamas desde el 7 de octubre. Exigimos al gobierno israelí de Benjamín Netanyahu que cese inmediatamente el fuego que ha provocado infames castigos colectivos a población indefensa. Los bombardeos de artillería indiscriminados incluso con fósforo blanco contra viviendas, hospitales y escuelas en Gaza por el ejército israelí configuran bárbaros crímenes de guerra que violan el Derecho Internacional y la Convención de Ginebra sobre la protección de civiles. Para el 26 de octubre en esas inaceptables acciones han muerto más de 7350 palestinos de los cuales la mayoría son niños y mujeres. Hay al menos un millón de personas desplazadas. Además han sido asesinados 24 periodistas y todavía existen 222 cautivos civiles de múltiples nacionalidades incluyendo la mexicana Ileana Gritzewsky. Denunciamos la vergonzante postura belicista de los gobiernos de Estados Unidos, Alemania, Reino Unido y Francia que sostienen su apoyo al gobierno israelí y bloquean la paz en el Consejo de Seguridad de la Organización de las Naciones Unidas. Exigimos determinantemente a la embajadora israelí en México, Einat Kranz Neiger que pida a su gobierno cesar las hostilidades aéreas y la invasión terrestre de la franja para el pronto establecimiento de corredores humanitarios y la presentación con vida de todos los cautivos. Seguimos alertando a la sociedad mexicana y a los medios de comunicación sobre el genocidio que se ejecuta en tiempo real contra 2.3 millones de pobladores palestinos de Gaza. Exigimos urgentemente al gobierno mexicano de Andrés Manuel López Obrador una postura más contundente frente al gobierno israelí para detener la guerra.
