Being a student of DAV Public School in Bistupur, Jamshedpur, I am witnessing firsthand the severe stress and anxiety that my fellow classmates and I are experiencing due to the unavailability of textbooks for our upcoming finals. We are all in class 9, anticipating the challenges of class 10, especially as the CBSE curriculum is set to change in 2027. This adaptation means new textbooks, yet they are nowhere to be found in the market.

As students, we bear the weight of academic expectations and the pressure to perform optimally in our exams. However, how can we give our hundred percent when the very resources required for our success are inaccessible? In just two days, our mid-term exams will conclude, signaling the start of intense preparation for our final exams. Yet, without the necessary textbooks, this preparation is severely hampered.

The issue feels particularly acute where the introduction of separate sets for subjects like Mathematics and Social Science seems like a shortcut rather than a solution. It reflects last-minute solutions which fail to address the underlying problems affecting our education system. It feels like an educational betrayal to students who strive and aspire to excel.

We demand that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and appropriate educational authorities take immediate action to ensure that these new textbooks are printed, distributed, and made readily available to students. This must be done in a timely manner, maintaining transparency about distribution timelines and accessibility. Additionally, digital versions of these textbooks should also be made available for all students to download, free of charge, as an interim solution.

By addressing this issue now, we can alleviate the stress on students and allow us to focus on our studies rather than worry about resource availability. It's time for us to stand up for our right to education and demand that the CBSE act responsibly and efficiently.
