As a concerned citizen of Calgary, I am deeply troubled by the deteriorating condition of Deerfoot Highway. This highway is used daily by countless residents and visitors, serving as a vital artery for our city. The current state of disrepair not only inconveniences drivers but also poses serious safety risks.

According to the City of Calgary's own data, Deerfoot Highway is one of the most heavily trafficked routes in our city. Despite this, it has been neglected for far too long. We cannot afford to wait until a severe accident occurs due to these unsafe conditions.

The City has a responsibility to maintain its infrastructure for the safety and convenience of its citizens. It's time they take immediate action on this issue that affects so many Calgarians daily.

We urge Mayor Jyoti Gondek and the City Council to prioritize repairs and paving work on Deerfoot Highway immediately. Let us ensure that our city remains safe, accessible, and welcoming for all who live here or come visiting.
