I, as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, am deeply troubled by the portrayal of my belief in the Hulu series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” This show presents a multitude of inaccuracies about the church and its teachings, which leads to the slander of our faith. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with a membership of over 16 million worldwide (source: Newsroom, Church of Jesus Christ), emphasizes principles of charity, honesty, and honor amongst others.

Moreover, in a society that prioritizes freedom of religion and respect for all beliefs, it feels incredibly disappointing to witness such a misleading depiction of my faith. This distortion only furthers stereotypes, misunderstandings, and prejudice.

A singular, skewed portrayal should not be the barometer of faith for millions. It misrepresents a faith followed not just by me, but by thousands others who deeply respect and live by its tenets.

In light of these concerns, we urge Hulu to cancel this show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” Let's take a stand against the unjust portrayal of our faith on popular platforms. Please sign this petition to request Hulu to rethink their decision on airing this show and promoting such a one-sided narrative.
