Elda S. from Sandy Hook decided to share with me her bill for the previous month on a spreadsheet. Our legislators are stating 20% increase for the public benefits (more like 24% but I digress). They neglected to say per Killowatt Hour! Below is the numbers as they are compared side by side.

When you factor in your usage on a very hot month of July, this is the actual breakdown percentage of increase to Elda's Eversource bill for July 2024 and August 2024. 

The more you use, the more Public Benefit tax they will collect! In this case it went up 621%! (turn phone sideways to view below). That's insane!

Posted Aug 6, 2024 where is this money? - Press release from State of Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont receives 389 Million dollars in federal grant money. U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal said in part "$389 million will strengthen our grid and power system to reduce these outages, while advancing our goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expanding clean energy, and lowering costs for consumers." 

So it CT is receiving all this grant money, CT is taxing our utility bill to "further better Connecticut citizens" then why is it we can't even breath! Math doesn't add up!
