Nearly 2,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were allegedly destroyed by Utah plastic surgeon Dr. Kirk Moore—who is also accused of issuing fake vaccination cards and injecting children with saline. Now, despite these serious federal charges, he’s receiving political support from state lawmakers rallying outside his trial.

This isn’t about politics. It’s about public health, accountability, and justice. While families lost loved ones to COVID-19, this doctor allegedly undermined safety protocols, falsified records, and profited from deception. And instead of condemning this behavior, some elected officials are calling him a hero.

We’re calling on the U.S. Department of Justice and the Trump administration to continue full prosecution of Dr. Moore and his co-defendants—and to reject pressure to abandon this case. No medical provider should get away with faking vaccine records or putting children at risk.

If we let this slide, we tell the next doctor it’s fine to ignore science and ethics. We must uphold the law—for everyone’s safety, and for the truth.
