I’ve had the very unpleasant experience of dealing with Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control after my dog displayed food aggression and bit the puppy in his home. Said puppy was left free to roam during food time, despite the owner KNOWING my dog was developing food aggression towards this new dog. They then decided to surrender him at Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control, who instantly deemed him a threat to the public and sentenced him to be euthanized. I called to schedule his release to me, in which they informed me they would NOT release him to me, and I had no choice in his death sentence! This was my dogs FIRST BITE OFFENSE, but they refused to listen to my pleading, OR the gos trainers plea. That’s right! A very well know dog trainer verified food aggression is a FIXABLE behavior. But they do not care! I am still fighting for the release of my dog! Since going public with this story, DOZENS of others have reached out to me with their stories of the exact same issue! FWACC needs to be FULLY investigated by the state of Indiana for illegal euthanasia practices!! 

per Indiana LAW a dog gets the right to a one bite rule. Which means, if it’s the dogs FIRST offense, and it wasn’t deadly or extremely vicious, they only have to do a 10 day quarantine! 

this shelter is literally breaking the law DAILY! It needs to STOP! Stand up with me to demand the state of Indiana investigate this euthanasia program!!
