DEMAND FOR TRANSPARENCY FROM 143 ENTERTAINMENT - WHERE ARE YESEO AND SUHYE?
The Issue
MABYs, the fans and supporters of MADEIN, are calling on 143 Entertainment to provide transparency and accountability regarding the unexplained absences of Yeseo and Suhye, as well as the company’s silence about the continued involvement of former CEO Lee Yong-hak.
What’s Happening
On May 14, 2025, 143 Entertainment announced that Suhye would take a temporary break due to “personal reasons.” After this, the statement citing “personal reasons” was deleted from official accounts, and an earlier post mentioning “health reasons” for her absence from the Osaka showcase remains without follow-up. Since May, Suhye has missed all major activities, is excluded from unit promotions, and fans have received no updates.
Yeseo, meanwhile, has been inactive on Instagram since May 27 and unable to communicate with fans through Plus Chat for over a month. At her birthday café, she shared that she was not allowed to post as usual. Fans noticed the absence of company staff and the lack of support from other members, raising serious concern about her current situation.
Despite both being listed as official members, 143 Entertainment continues to promote the subunit MADEIN S - composed only of the Japanese members Mashiro, MiU, Serina, and Nagomi - without addressing the status of Yeseo and Suhye. Even in official merchandise like the new MADEIN lightstick, neither member is included in the photocards.
Why Fans Are Concerned
Earlier this year, former MADEIN member Oh Gaeun filed a criminal complaint against 143 Entertainment’s CEO Lee Yong-hak for sexual assault. After public pressure, the company announced his resignation in May 2025, which was confirmed through legal documents. However, the official statement has since been deleted, and on July 31, 2025, Lee Yong-hak was credited in a company-affiliated production.
This raises serious questions about transparency, accountability, and artist safety within 143 Entertainment.
Our Demands
Fans have organized email campaigns, tag events, and even protest trucks - yet the company continues to ignore every request for information. We refuse to stay silent.
We demand that 143 Entertainment:
- Clarify the current status and well-being of Yeseo and Suhye, including their contractual situation and health.
- Explain the deletion of official posts and the lack of updates regarding both members.
- Publicly address the involvement of Lee Yong-hak in any 143 Entertainment projects.
- Commit to transparency and honest communication with fans moving forward.
We Will Not Stop Asking
Fans should not have to beg for basic transparency.
