Demand Federal Legislation to Criminalize Electronic Harassment

Nationwide Electronic harassment is a growing threat in our digital age-and it's time our federal laws catch up.

We're calling on Congress to pass nationwide legislation that defines, prohibits, and punishes all forms of electronic harassment and technologically facilitated abuse.

As concerned citizens of the United States, we urge Congress to take immediate action to address the rising crisis of electronic harassment. This form of abuse includes the use of digital technologies-such as social media, emails, tracking devices, spyware, and electromagnetic tools-to intimidate, stalk, manipulate, or psychologically harm individuals.

Current laws vary from state to state and often do not address the complex, non-physical nature of this harassment.
