Today we reached an important milestone in our quest to hold Rick Scott, Jeb Bush and the Koch brothers accountable for colluding to rob the citizens of Florida of the right to have a voice in what happens to the St Johns River. You and I have the easy jobs in this effort. We are the cheerleaders for our tireless, pro-bono attorney who is doing all the heavy lifting to protect our rights and to protect our rivers. But that is not to minimize what you have done. It lifted our attorney, Steve Medina's spirits so high to know that 5,000 people had signed this petition. Your messages on here, your sharing this petition with your friends - these small but important contributions to the effort make his fingers a little lighter as he types our legal documents, his back a little less tired as he tolls late at night and his eyes a little less sleepy - because he knows there are thousands of people who care. Thank you for caring and for getting us this far. We are pushing onward for more signatures. Leslie Salzillo continues to write her excellent articles on Daily Kos to help all of us better understand this outrageous inside political give-away by Jeb, Rick and others. This is truly a team effort and we all thank you for being an important part of this team. Without public support, there would be no hope of getting the US Attorney Office interested.
