Just 4 days ago we celebrated getting 5,000 signatures on our petition to the US Attorney's Tampa office. Today we are a few new signers away from 6,500!!! Our voices are growing louder and we are telling the world - "WE DON'T HAVE TO SIT BY AND WATCH THEM DESTROY OUR RIVERS OR OUR DEMOCRACY!!" While Leslie Salzillo keeps us informed with her written reports, our attorney Steve Medina is filing strongly worded, legally brilliant pleadings for our case. If the Koch brothers succeed in killing our rivers and the public trust doctrine in Florida, it will not be without a very vocal fight. They will only win because the courts are filled with Bush appointees and lazy jurists. But we are far from ready to envision a bleak outcome. We are more inspired and motivated than ever.
