Demand Fairness in Motorcyclist Levy Collection in New Zealand

The issue

As a representative of BRONZ (Bikers Rights Organisation NZ) Federation, I personally feel stricken and disheartened by what is unfair and unequitable practices in targeting the motorcyclist levy by the ACC. This issue deeply affects me and a community of approximately 600,000 Class 6 licence holders, at least 200,000 active at any one time, all of whom are peaceable individuals putting rubber to road. Historical evidence shows our solidarity is strong - we brought over 9000 bodies to parliament lawns to demand fairness when the ACC took unjust and excessive actions.
Motorcyclists continue to do more for thier own safety from the licence system, to extra training and through the enforced MSAC portion even pay for our own safety infrastructure that also makes roads safer for others. Motorcycle owners also mostly have other vehicles and are paying through the system more than once for thier safety.
The current practices of ACC levy are not serving the best interests of the people they are supposed to protect espescially through thier own equity lens.

Your support will add to the growing pressure on ACC.
A revision of the ACC levies can result in fairer charges, reducing the financial burden on motorcycle users, and promoting the use of this efficient mode of transport. It is crucial that we open up this dialog with lawmakers and insist on ACC adopting a fairer system that doesn't disproportionately penalise individuals for their choice of transport. It's time to enact change, starting with you!

We seek a halt to any further increases whatsoever.
We seek a full review of the system.
We seek to be involved in the review panel to help them understand motorcycling.
We support the discount for training scheme being embedded.
We seek the removal of unfair demerit points being used to leverage a taxation payment.
We support ACC getting back to its core no fault principals.

Sign the petition and stand up for the rights of motorcyclists across New Zealand.
