We write on behalf of Olando Trader, a promising African college athlete whose hard work and dreams of academic and athletic success were abruptly halted by accusations of sexual assault. Contrary to the principles of justice, where one is considered innocent until proven otherwise, Olando has been prematurely treated as a criminal despite substantial evidence and witness statements supporting his innocence.

Olando's ongoing mental health treatment, prescribed and overseen by the Probate Court of Jackson County, has been pivotal in helping him navigate this unexpected mental health crisis he is facing. We respectfully request that the court allow him to continue this essential treatment for the medically recommended period - a crucial part of his recovery process that should not be disrupted. 

According to Mental Health America, continuing mental health treatment in a situation as delicate as Olando's is crucial for his wellbeing. Studies also reveal that society benefits more from rehabilitating individuals through treatments rather than incarcerating them, an approach that often leads to high recidivism rates (source: National Institute of Justice, US). 

We urge everyone to uphold the rule of presumption of innocence, a fundamental human right enshrined in the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 11).
