Demand Fair Sentencing and Release for Travis Lee Branham

The Issue

Travis Lee Branham, a loving husband and a victim of an obscure justice system, has been wrongfully held in prison longer than he should be. In 2021, caught in a whirlwind of legal complications, Travis signed papers handed by Mandy Baker, his lawyer at that time. These papers were conveyed to me, his wife, who didn't fully comprehend the legal jargon and implications entailed in them. Moreover, when I sent them to Travis, they were blurry, causing him to sign without total clarity of the agreement of the issues at stake. Despite all these, my husband has been serving time for those same charges since.

Presently, they project his minimum out date to be 2028. This is gruesome, considering he had already EOS the charges last November. The situation is worsened by his current state in a horribly crowded prison, where he is malnourished.

This injustice is personal to me. Travis is my husband, and I need him home. I need him to be free from the harsh conditions he is currently faced with. The disproportionality in his sentencing and his lack of understanding due to the blurred copies and legal lingo are fundamental grounds for his case to be reconsidered.

We demand a comprehensive look into Travis Lee Branham's situation, urging for: transparent legal processes in the future, the adjustment of his minimum out date based on his previously served time, and his urgent release from the detrimental conditions in prison. Therefore, we implore you to sign this petition. Let's fight for justice for Travis and the assurance of a more just and transparent legal system.
