As concerned constituents of Senator Cornyn, we express our disappointment about a his recent actions. Senator Cornyn hosted a  Zoom town hall, but he did not invite or promote the event to all of his constituents, only those from his political party. His office in Dallas is on a floor that is inaccessible to the public. This is blatant disregard to the diverse population he swore to represent. These acts, his partisan bluster on social media, and his complicity in the illegal stealing of American's private data goes against his oath which states, "to support and defend our Constitution and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter". 

Are we not all his constituents? Isn't it his constitutional obligation to treat all constituents fairly, regardless of their political affiliations? This personal story is an unfortunate reflection of a broader and deeply concerning issue.

Considering the number of registered voters in Texas, the act of excluding significant numbers due to their political affiliation poses a threat to democracy. Texas Secretary of State, Jane Nelson announced that in 2024, there are over 18.6 million registered voters in Texas, of diverse political affiliations. This prompts a question about democracy and fairness.

Senator Cornyn, we ask you to work for all Texans, not just those who align with your political affiliations. We ask you to adhere to your oath of office, uphold the principles of democracy, and serve all of your constituents equitably. We urge all who believe in fair representation to sign this petition.
