I am one of many who applied for OCM's Cannabis lottery and was denied due to allegedly missing information. The existence of HF 100 implies applicants should receive a deficiency notice to rectify their applications, an opportunity I was not afforded. Why should our plans for progress be stifled due to procedural mishaps that are not in our hands?  This process affects hundreds of potential business owners who aim to contribute to our thriving legal cannabis industry. Yet, the lack of transparency hinders our shared journey towards economic prosperity and social equity. We demand that the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) uphold a fair and transparent lottery process by issuing deficiency notices to all applicants and granting them the right to correct their applications. It is not only a legal obligation anchored in HF 100 but also a step towards justice for all cannabis business hopefuls.
