I wanted to share an update and express my gratitude for your support on this crucial issue. It's about fairness, and with the cost-of-living crisis spiraling out of control, we need fairness more than ever. 

Recently, a few of you reached out to highlight the steep 10 percent interest rate imposed on those who are late in paying their rates bill. This rate far exceeds the cash rate and is a harsh burden for those struggling during this cost-of-living crisis. I hear your concerns and am committed to fighting for change in this area. too. I will add this to the requests.

I’ve also conducted a cost-of-living survey to gather the community's experience during this difficult period. My goal is to develop a report highlighting the scale of the crisis with decision-makers, shedding light on the real challenges faced by our Geelong community and the actions we believe are necessary.
