I reached out to the member of the ACT Committee who had engaged on the thread. I opened with an apology for the initial tone of my post which was, admittedly angry.

I offered to open a dialogue and see how we could work together. She obliged and we spoke at length on the phone. She was able to offer me some more insight into their funding process and I was able to offer some insight into both opportunities that may exist within our union and some additional corporate sponsorships.

She expressed interest in being at the May 6th Council meeting (should my Delegate Application be approved) and also offered for me to come to some of the ACT Committee meetings to share thoughts with the group.

There hasn't been an outreach from the Town of Essex and the Windsor Federation of Musicians #566, like they have with most of the other municipalities so I'm eager to connect them to see what opportunities lie ahead.

We both agreed that we let the unpleasant commentary online colour our conversation and we had some *very* positive dialogue moving forward about how to make some changes for the better.

This, as of now, is the very best outcome I could have hoped for and a real testament to how civil, open dialogue can bring us together for the better of everyone.
So let's move forward together - nobody wins unless everybody wins!
