Demand fair building conditions for Murrieta homeowners

Demand fair building conditions for Murrieta homeowners
The Issue
To our neighbors & community,
Hi y’all! My name is Nichole Kruthaup and my husband is Kyle Kruthaup. We currently own the vacant property on Patton and Washington in Murrieta, CA. Allow me to share a little about us: we have three wonderful children, two boys and a toddler girl. I have the honor of staying home to raise them, while my husband, a dedicated firefighter of 15 years, serves our community. Two years ago, we moved to Tennessee, but circumstances brought us back. In our quest to find the finest environment to raise our kids, we chose Murrieta.
Our dream is to build a family home on our vacant lot. However, we are now facing unequitable and disproportionate conditions of approval from local authorities. These conditions not only hinder our dream but also impose unnecessary financial burdens. It seems unjust for a family striving to establish roots and contribute positively to the community to be met with such harsh requirements.
We have acquainted ourselves with local building regulations, and while we understand and appreciate the necessity for standards, the current approval conditions appear to exceed what is reasonable. This not only affects our family but any aspiring homeowner who wishes to contribute to the Murrieta neighborhood. In understanding and modifying these conditions, we can create a welcoming and fair environment for future families.
We propose a review and revision of the current approval process for building on vacant lots in Murrieta. We believe that local authorities should ensure that conditions are equitable and proportionate. This will allow families like ours, who are deeply invested in the community both economically and personally, to thrive and grow.
We urge the city officials to reconsider the current regulations and work towards a solution that facilitates rather than hinders the building process. By doing so, they can help ensure that our community remains vibrant and accessible to all who dream of calling it home.
Please join us in this cause by signing the petition. Together, we can advocate for fairer building conditions in Murrieta. Your support will not only help our family but countless others who wish to contribute positively to our community. Thank you for standing with us.
