Demand external investigation of Judsonia Arkansas police chief and assistant chief
The Issue

On August 16th while conducting a traffic stop, Assistant Police Chief Joseph Edgar Gossett, shot and killed the two family dog's of Matt and Dalaina Cross. According to his report, a traffic stop was conducted at the foot of the family's driveway. The Cross's son had just let the two dogs, Thunder and Lightning outside to use the restroom. He noticed the dog's heading down the driveway and he attempted to call the dog's back as they approached the scene of the officerand the traffic stop. Before the Cross's son could call their names a second time, the officer pulled his firearm on the dog's, shooting Lightning in the head. He continued to fire on Thunder as the dog retreated in fear towards his home, in the direction of the Cross's home, and where their son was standing. Thunder made it back into the house, but due to the gunshot wounds, bled out and died inside the Cross's home, in front of their five children, ages 3 to 13. The Judsonia Police Department claims to be investigating the incident, however Police Chief Robert Parsons has stated the Officer Gossett's actions were justified, due to a vicious dog ordinance, a profile the dog's simply did not fit, and the Police Department has shut down their Facebook page, likely in an attempt to avoid backlash from an angry public. Clearly this administration can not conduct an unbiased investigation, and the family would like an independent investigation conducted by an outside source on a state level.
