The Galveston Island Humane Society DOES NOT make it known to the public which shelter animals are at risk of euthanasia.

This needs to change. Other shelters and organizations share which animals have deadlines to either be fostered or adopted so that the public has a call to action and a sense of urgency. 

We are asking that the Galveston Island Humane Society SHARE PUBLICLY which animals are on the euthanasia list and when their deadlines are so that the public has an opportunity to save the animal(s) with a week's notice or more.

We appreciate the staff there who has to make hard decisions daily. Please be kind to the shelter and staff as we do not want animals to be affected negatively by this petition. We only want the public to know the euth lists in advance so we can hopefully save as many animals as possible. Everyone there works hard to save all the animals - we just want to give them the last bit of justice by making their deadlines known in advance.
