To all the mothers and fathers,

Imagine a law that only allows you to see your child 2 days a month, not because you’re a danger to your child, but because of an old outdated law that was determined to be the “Best Interest of your Child”. Texas has attempted to pass Equal Parenting Laws in the past, that would start all standard orders off with a shared parenting time.

There are so many arguments justifying this old law, dead beat dad this, and incapable mother that. Though there are not any disagreements that there are very terrible parents in this world, the issue with the logic of treating every mother and father as a dead beat or an incapable one, is just not the best interest of any child that has 2 very capable parents in their life.  

Put your self in the shoes of many parents in the State of Texas, after 2 parents get a divorce, legally one parent will only be allowed to see their child 2 to 4 days a month, according to Texas’s Standard Parenting Plans, as of right now. 

Please stand with every child that has been deprived a parent because of this Law! Sign this Petition that gives Equal Parenting right off the bat! Court will be for those attempting to argue anything different, no parent should have to fight for time.

As each state passes Laws allowing for Equal Parenting Time, Let’s stop the fight in Texas, Make Equal Parenting Time the New Standard, TOGETHER WE GOT THIS!
