The Issue

My name is Merle R Fortune a name that echoes among many others who have experienced workplace injustice, bias, and discrimination. I am an employee of Dollar General Fleet Orlando FL, a major company where I have been subjected to unfair treatment. Without any explanation or reason given, I was sent home from work. Now, I find myself living without pay while bills continue to pile up. The company appears to be using a 30-day inactivity clause as an excuse to terminate my employment unfairly. This is not the first time such an incident has happened; it's the second job in a row where I've faced this kind of treatment.

This petition seeks to address this issue on a broader scale - it's not just about me but about every individual who has ever been victimized by discriminatory employment practices based on their origin, belief or other values.

According to data from the U.S Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), there were 72,675 charges of workplace discrimination filed in 2019 alone. This alarming figure highlights the urgent need for reform and stricter enforcement of non-discriminatory policies within workplaces across America.

We are calling upon lawmakers and relevant authorities for immediate action - we demand equal rights to employment for everyone regardless of their origin or belief system. We seek fair treatment devoid of bias and hypocrisy within our workplaces.

Join us as we stand against workplace discrimination and fight for equal employment rights for all! Please sign this petition today!
