Demand equal difficulty in CBSE Class 10 board exams and enhancement of NCERT
The Issue
I am currently a Class 10 student, and I have witnessed firsthand the disparities in exam difficulty levels faced by my seniors in previous years. This inconsistency not only affected their grades but also significantly impacted their preparedness for future academic challenges.
It's disheartening to see that despite being part of the same educational board, students are subjected to varying levels of exam difficulty depending on their subjects or geographical location. This leads to an unfair advantage or disadvantage, ultimately affecting their overall performance and future opportunities.
The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) must implement a fair and standardized approach to designing the examination papers. Ensuring equal difficulty levels for all sets of Class 10 board exams would cultivate a truly equitable learning environment. Furthermore, enhancing the quality of NCERT textbooks by integrating more competency-based questions will prepare students not just for exams, but for real-world applications of their knowledge.
According to the latest educational statistics, standardizing exam difficulty can vastly improve student engagement and performance, reducing stress and promoting a healthier academic atmosphere. By incorporating a balanced array of questions in NCERT, teachers and students can focus on developing critical thinking skills.
I urge the CBSE to take this seriously and review their current approach towards exam design and textbook content. It is crucial for the board to align their practices with global educational standards, ensuring every student has an equal shot at success.
Please join me in calling upon the CBSE to ensure a fair examination system and enrich our learning resources. We need your support to push for these necessary changes to benefit future generations. Please sign this petition to demand equity in our education system.
