On this late Day 43 of Nancy Guthrie's disappearance (reported Feb 1, 2026), I'm making a difficult but necessary choice: I'm removing all my Nancy-related content from X starting now.
This isn't because I've stopped caring—I care deeply and continue praying for her safe return every day. It's because my repeated calls for basic, verifiable transparency (redacted chain-of-custody for evidence/body-cam from the initial response, and a simple confirmed-events timeline) have gone "unheard".
The system feels stuck in the same patterns we've seen before (2013, 2022, 2025, etc)—limited sharing that could build trust without risking the case. Shame on any framework that prioritizes secrecy over community safety when tools exist to share safely.
Hundreds of years ago, without tech, communities handled threats differently: public announcements for awareness, elder/widow safety networks, shared vigilance. Today, in 2026, we should do better—use advanced forensics, metadata, and protocols to inform without panic.
Sheriff Nanos' recent warning (Day 40+) that the suspect "could strike again" is welcome but was it way overdue? An early, simple alert (e.g., "Treat as targeted; stay vigilant, lock doors, report suspicious activity") from Day 1–3 could have protected neighbors without tipping leads.
Streamers and public eyes have kept pressure on, but the core issue remains: Nancy's location is still unknown. That's the one undisputed fact. Everything else needs verifiable proof to move from allegation to trusted reality.
This petition demands:
Enhanced transparency (safe releases of redacted records/metadata)
Stronger community safety measures (timely warnings, neighborhood protocols)
Full use of advanced tools (forensics, data analysis)
If you're a signer, please:
Contact decision-makers (Sheriff Nanos, FBI Phoenix, elected officials) urging verifiable updates
Keep praying and tipping official lines if you know anything
Closing prayer:
God, watch over Nancy right now. Bring her home safely. Comfort Savannah, Annie, Camron, and family. Soften hearts with knowledge to act courageously. Heal broken trust in the system. Protect searchers, honest investigators, and tipsters. Help us all do better in 2026. Amen.
Her safe return is all that matters. Thank you for standing with us. 🙏
