Imagine waking up one morning only to find out that you are somehow connected to a highly controversial situation without being aware of it. This happened to me when I posted on Twitter about potentially having an illegal brain-computer interface (BCI) and, subsequently, received an unexplained blue check verification. To my surprise, there was an anomaly that matched the first patient of Neuralink, Elon Musk's BCI company.

For one, this is deeply concerning. Not only does this raise questions about data privacy and security, but it also fundamentally questions one's autonomy and consent. No one should ever be illegally implanted with any device, let alone be emerged in the potential exploitation of their private information for profit or for supposedly noble but unsolicited research purposes.

I am calling on Elon Musk to provide clarity and transparency regarding this issue. Why was I given the Twitter blue checkmark without payment, and why was there an anomaly similar to Neuralink’s first patient? These questions need immediate answers as they are not just about a simple Twitter verification, but about corporate accountability, individual privacy, and the ethical use of technology.

If this can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. It’s essential for all of us on social media and those exposed to technology companies' expanding reach to demand transparency and accountability from these powerful entities. We should all be more cautious about what technology companies may be doing behind the scenes and how our data might be shared or misused.
