As a concerned South Carolina taxpayer, I urge everyone to stand with me in seeking justice and ensuring transparency in the Wellford City Police Department and in Spartanburg County.

Recently, a recording was published of Wellford City Officer Sydney Tyson admitting to using and selling narcotics. But rather than dealing with this issue seriously, her boss Wellford city Chief David Green made it clear that he will retain her.

This is an urgent issue of leadership, accountability, and transparency in Spartanburg County. Sheriff Chuck Wright said it best, he doesn't employ drug dealers, he locks them up.
